Coral Carter lives in Perth but grew up in Kalgoorlie WA and Port Augusta SA. Coral was shortlisted in the Newcastle poetry prize 2022, won the Looking Forward/Looking Back ekphrastic poetry prize 2023, published two books Descended from Thieves Mulla Mulla Press 2012 and Backyard Listening Mulla Mulla Press 2019.
