Gerard Lewis-Fitzgerald was born in Waddawurrung country, Geelong. Retired, he lives in Beaconsfield, Victoria. Prompting by a friend, he began reading at various Melbourne open mics, and posting his poetry in such groups as Eclectic Creators Unite. Gerard, also an artist, is an actor with Gemco, Emerald. He filled the role of compere for the second instalment of Poetry Bauhaus (Bbaa).
