Bellbird Park

by WAYNE POLLARD

Eucalypt Orchestra

A wind gently drifts across the park.
A gum leaf gathers with others to hum a melody.
Leaves still holding branches become wind chimes.
To play a tune accompanying the leaves scattered in the grass.
An orchestra just happens.
The orchestra of eucalyptus.
One listens, laying on uncut grass.
Feeling in awe of this gift
I am enjoying the eucalypts singing in nature’s harmony.
Soul enlightened.
By this gift.
I too am enjoying the gentle wind at Bellbird Park.
